Chocolate Mug Cake!

Alright, well, by popular demand! Here is my most recipe for Chocolate mug cake!

I was thoroughly craving something sweet (you know how that just sneaks up on you and you can’t get it out of your head…) but with the indulgences of this past weekend, I had to be a little more particular about what I was choosing for “dessert” tonight.. so, I turned to Pinterest & a recipe shared by my cousin’s wife for a CHOCOLATE SHAKEOLOGY MUG CAKE! & of course, I added peanut butter… because, well, why not?

Here’s the recipe!

In a mug, mix these ingredients:

DRY INGREDIENTS:

1 scoop of chocolate protein powder (I use Shakeology for it’s superfoods and superpowers)
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tbsp cocoa powder (if you need that extra chocolatey touch)
dash of salt
—mix them up well!

WET INGREDIENTS:
1 egg
4 tablespoons of your milk of choice (I used unsweetened almond milk)

mix the dry & wet ingredients together well.

Doesn't look that great, but don't be fooled!
**I THEN TOOK A TSP OF PEANUT BUTTER AND KIND OF SHOVED IT DOWN IN THE MIDDLE TO CREATE A PEANUT BUTTER LAVA CAKE OF SORTS!**

Microwave for 1:15-1:30

you can either leave it IN the mug, or dump it out onto a plate (it should fall out of the mug easily!)

AND ENJOY!

note: the first time I made this, it was a little dry. I decreased the mic time & added a little bit more milk and the next time was better- regardless, it’s a freakin’ chocolate cake in a mug, it’s hard to go wrong!
