TRANSFORMATION SPOTLIGHT, Katie Isaac

hello, friends!

it's Tuesday- which means it's time again for TEAM SWEAT FOR JOY'S *TRANSFORMATION SPOTLIGHT*!
today, I want to introduce you to my dear friend, Katie Isaac. I have known her pretty much forever & her story is one that is inspiring, tear-jerking, & really encompasses THIS TEAM.

Read her responses below & also, check out her moving WHY video

how did you get involved with the programs & shakeology?
I reached out to Taylor after cyber-stalking her for a few months.  I started with the 3 Day Refresh because I was sick and tired of working out, but being a self saboteur and not seeing results.  I knew some things that would make me successful, but I had zero accountability.  And I was lacking a lot of nutrition.  Shakeology has been a huge game changer for my entire household.

what motivated you to make the change?
I felt "stuck" in my mom body.  I had an end goal in mind and I wasn't getting close to it.  I was stuck in a cycle of boredom and monotony and I would undo everything I did during the week.  I also lacked motivation and belief to try new things.  I thought I had all the answers - reality check please.

what was it that kept you persisting towards your goal?
Having others behind me - even when I failed - made me want to reach that goal.  And finding the motivation and little successes along the way.

why did you decide NOW was the time you were going to SUCCEED?
I have a daughter and I want her to grow up strong, confident, and fearless.  I battled anorexia in my early 20's and it's something that I don't wish upon anyone.  I want her to love her body, love herself, be happy with life, and be grateful for each day.  She is one of my reasons why I want to be successful.

is there ever a day where you don’t think you can continue on or feel like it’s not worth it? how do you overcome those feelings of doubt?
All.The.Time.
We're human.  Failure and fear are part of our makeup.  It's what we do with those emotions that makes us stronger.  I decide to turn my fears into my reasons and my failures as opportunities to learn, grow, and get better.

what do you think has been the most important factor in this journey?
For me having a support system of amazing individuals that give you confidence to be vulnerable, honest, and true to yourself.  This journey for me has been so much more mental than physical - and when it comes down to it - if our head isn't in the game, nothing will go the right way.

what has been the most rewarding part of all of this?
Finding the BIGGEST circle of friends a girl could ask for.

what is the biggest change you have seen within yourself?
For me it's been confidence and also strength.  Both physically and mentally I have seen changes, but believing in myself and figuring out that I am capable is huge.

what advice would you give to someone who is nervous about starting or just getting started?
Just GO FOR IT.  Our bodies and minds are capable of so much more than we let them tackle.  Just go for it and worry about what will happen later.
