the time is now

I’ve been putting off this post because I keep listening to the little voice in my head that says “nobody cares, Taylor”…. but, one thing I’ve learned throughout the past year is that little voice is a liar.   one week ago today, i arrived home from Beachboy’s COACH SUMMIT in Nashville. What is Summit? a 3-day event where the company does things such as motivate, inspire, launch new products, award people with recognition for their work and advancements throughout the past year, & so much more.  I actually earned my ticket for FREE last year for becoming something called a “SUCCESS STARTER” in the business last year- the first 3 months I was a coach, I reached certain milestones & the company rewarded me by sending a free summit ticket. I never would have been able to achieve this without the guidance of my upline coach, Katy Ursta (who was undergoing chemo & raising two kids under the age of 4 at the time- very easily could have said “figure it out yourself, honey

chicken sausage & veggies!

quick & easy dinner idea! last night, I opened my fridge & pantry & was having one of those moments where I was like “crap, there is a TON of food in here & it’s all going to go bad if I don’t start using it!” I am NOT the most creative person in the kitchen, so I was super pleased when this came out tasting really flavorful & great! I also love that it is totally customizable to whatever YOU have in YOUR fridge! you could swap out the meat & the veggies for other sources, but use this as just general inspiration!  here’s what I made last night!  -chicken sausage links -chopped red pepper -chopped onion -black olives -quinoa first, I cooked the quinoa (I feel like this is a DUH thing to say, but I’m that person that reads recipes & I’m like wait.. should I cook the quinoa first? or liiiike….) how do you keep berries fresh?

Okay, so I'm not 100% sure that this is blog worthy information.... But considering I spent a significant amount of time on the Internet trying to find tips for this, I'm thinking maybe it is... So, buying organic berries is important, right?  But how the heck are you supposed to eat them fast enough before they get that white fuzz all over them?!  Here's a what I learned to avoid the strawberry mold from happening so quickly!  -wash them as soon as you get home from the grocery store!  -cut them & lay them out on a paper towel as you go -once they're all cut, dab a paper towel over top of them absorbing as much moisture and water as possible!  -line a Tupperware container with paper towel before storing them!  -to help keep them even longer, change out the paper towel when you feel it's fairly soaked The key to keeping berries fresh is keeping the moisture out! THREE THINGS MY HUSBAND DOES DIFFERENT.

***note: I sat down to write this blog & had my notes all out from thoughts I had throughout the day, & this ended up taking a whole turn down another road! I had no intentions of talking about what you are about to read, but it kind of just happened! gonna just go with it!*** I know we all have them- those days, weeks, months- where time just is moving at the speed of light and you actually can’t keep up. You’re not really sure where to begin & end each day as they all just kind of start to run together and you catch yourself counting down the days until the next “thing” is scheduled to happen… That’s pretty much how I roll with my life 95% of the time- just constantly on to the next thing, next task, next event… that way too often do I take a step back and figure out how I’m actually feeling about things or what they actually mean for me & my family.  For about the past year, Dave has been so ambitious and working and training so hard to prepare for a hoc
